My pricing method and approach to wedding photography is different from most other professional photographers. The ‘standard’ method is for the photographer to photograph a relatively small amount of key events throughout the day and keep the negatives or digital files. From these negatives or files an elaborate wedding album is produced and any additional reprints are supplied at comparatively expensive prices each time they are required. Under this method, the photographer always retains the negatives or files for artistic and monetary considerations.
Many years ago, (after canvassing the needs of many couples) I developed a different approach to this ‘standard’ method. I believe a wedding coverage should be a complete record of events happening on the day; not just key events and formal style wedding album type photographs. I decided that as a photographer, I should keep busy without restriction to a set number and type of photographs.
I find that most weddings require about 600+ photographs for a complete coverage.
The coverage usually starts at the bride’s home and ends late into the reception about half an hour after the Bridal Waltz.
COST OF PHOTOGRAPHY $1495.00 including 1 Standard Wedding Album with up to 300 6"x4" prints and 2 DVD’s with high resolution files
of every photo taken (available within 2 weeks of wedding) . Reprints can be made from these DVD'S by you at low cost.
A free Web Gallery displaying every photo taken with the file number is also provided as a service to the Bride and Groom. This secret address can be given out to friends and relatives
interstate or overseas to view your photos and order from your DVD'S.
COVERAGE
Bride’s House One hour before the wedding to compile pre-wedding picture story e.g. bridal preparation bridesmaids and parents in house and garden
Church Bride arriving, ceremony, signing book and group photographs
Park Bridal party only at park of your choice.
Reception Tables, speeches, group photographs, cutting the cake, bridal waltz,
dancing
Interview Interviews to discussed your personal requirements and to view
sample photography usually takes approximately 1 hour either at
your home or at my studio in Florey.
Booking A deposit of $295.00 is required to secure your booking.
As weddings are planned well in advance, this deposit is non-
refundable, so book carefully. No tentative bookings can be accepted.
Extra Time Is available outside this standard package if required @ $145.00 per
hour. This can be utilised to cover the Groom's preparation and attendance
till the end of night to capture the farewells.
If photographer is required to stay throughout reception it is requested that a pre-arranged seat with a place name for Alan Goddard and meal is provided.
